FAMILY CONSULTATION

A typical consultation lasts 30 minutes in order to listen to your concerns and giving the child time to feel at ease.

The approach to examining your child will depend on his or her age and is carried out wherever the child is comfortable.

Thereafter the findings are explained and if necessary, a treatment plan will be established.

Older children will be informed in an age-appropriate manner.

Mum, Partner & Baby activities

Together with the midwife, Jo Everatt, 2-hour support groups with a themed presentation given by experts in their field are being organised weekly.

Following the talk, you can meet new friends and share a cup of tea with other like-minded mums and dads.

What does a Paediatrician do?

I'll often see someone's child many times from birth to age 2 and once a year from ages 2 to 5 for "well-child visits."

After age 5, I will often continue to a child every year for annual checkups. I'm often the first person mum or dad will call whenever their child is sick.

Some of the services I provide include:

  • Physical examination
  • Give your child vaccinations
  • Make sure your child meets milestones in growth, behaviour, and skills
  • Diagnose and treat your child's illnesses, infections, injuries, and other health problems
  • Give you information about your child's health, safety, nutrition, and fitness needs
  • Answer your questions about your little one's growth and development
  • Refer you to specialists if we think your child needs expert care.
